Waxing & Waning Crescents Many modern Wiccans have crescent moons adorning their pentagrams or pentacles. The pentagram is a protective symbol in Wicca, symbolizing the elements of air, fire, water, earth and spirit. Both of these pentagrams show moon designs. Aradia Pentacle This particular pendant is another example of the full lunar cycle: waxing, full, and waning. The gemstone in the center is moonstone.
