The Burney Relief: this relief is assumed to represent lilith, based on Kramer's translation of ki-sikil-lil-la-ke as "Lilith" in the story "Gilgamesh and the Huluppa-Tree." Kramer's translation of ki-sikil-lil-la-ke as "Lilith" was used to associate this depiction of a female spirit with bird talons as possbly reprsenting a ki-sikil-lil-la-ke which many think is a spirit similar to or the same as one of the Assirian Lilitu or Hebrew Lilith. |
