A: The spirits are not "stuck" in a board. The board is not a physical object which contains the spirit. No one has bound them in a "soul catcher" as a servant spirit . That is one reason WHY many choose to say GOODBYE to let the spirit know that that the session is over. By the way, a spirit can also commumicate GOODBYE via the board and signalling a depature. If you wish to make it very clear that the spirit should go, say aloud, "Depart, and peace be upon you. Return unto your place. Be there peace between us and you ."
Q: I wonder what are the things that a person should never ask an Ouija board? And what might the consequences be if a person asks such questions anyway?
A: Don't ask a question you don't want answer to. The consequence is that you will get an answer you don't want.
Q: Does anyone ever ask why the spirits are stuck in the "tunnel" they are in?
A: If you mean, do people using the Ouija board if any why someone is trapped on the earthly plain, yes. I have known people to ask that question. Perhaps the spirit is not "stuck" and will explain that. Certainly if a spirit professes unhappiness or discontent, people may encourage the spirit to look toward the light and follow it.
Q: You have to cast a whole bunch of protection if you want to use a quinoa board . I'm on my phone. Damn you auto corrector.
A: I have never used a quinoa board. Hopefully your talking board isn't doing auto correct like your cell phone.
Q: What are the dangers of using a ouija board?
A: You could give yourself a "case of the willies." This phrase, "a case of the willies," is my polite way of saying you are scaring the sh--t out of yourself for no good reason. Don't do that. You should be just fine.
People who are on meds should take them faithfully as prescribed. Also, eat right, get enough sleep...and don't put a candle on the board. A candle on the board is a fire hazzard.
Q: I want to know what an "Ouija Board" means?
A: An Ouija board is one of the types of Spirit boards, Talking boards, Mystic boards, etc. by which people can attempt to communicate with the ancestors--or other spirits/entities.
Q: Is there a correct way to start and end a session?
A: There are several methods which I have heard of people using.
One person and her friends just sat quietly and calmed their minds. Then she spoke aloud, "I invite any spirits around me to come communicate with me tonight. I'm lending my energy to be used so you can communicate with me. I wish you no harm, I just wish to speak with you. With that the ouija board session is now open. Please indicate your presence by moving the planchette to YES." This individual added that she always said goodbye at the end of a session and likewise explained that she would announce to any lingering spirits to come back later for another session. She explained, “Politeness is key.”
Another method for begining is to inquire, “Are there any friendly spirits here?” and “Do you have a message for someone?” Again a session should be ended with GOOD-BYE. A person can either speak a farewell aloud or push the planchette to GOOD-BYE.
I’ve heard that some “spirit workers,” as well as Spiritualists, begin and end every session with a prayer.
Amy Zerner and Monte Farber created their own Talking Board and sold it in a kit with a book. I've not used either of these, but they may be found in their book that comes with their Talkin Board.
Enchanted Pentacle Protection PrayerTo the All There is, wonderous wise
Power of water, earth, fire, and skies,
Light and love, please join me here
To sweep this space all safe and clear
Away with darkness, in with light,
Bring to me guidance to do what is right
To be attuned and not make mistakes
Help me to see the path I take.

Enchanted Grounding RitualAmy Zerner and Monte Farber also share the following, which may be incorporated into closing down a session:Relax and get comfortable. Either lie down with your spine straight, or sit upright in a chair with your spine straight; choose whatever position makes it easy for you to let all your muscles relax. Take three deep breaths:
One for the boddy...Breath in...and out
One for the mind...Breath in...and out
One for the spirit...Breath in...and out
Become aware of letting go of the worries for the day...Breath in...and out. Ground yourself by feeling where your body meets the floor or chair. Know that you are safe. You are taking time to cleanse, balance, and recharge your energy system.

Thank you, Spirits, for sharing with me--The following "Spiritualist Seance Invocation" is from The Spirit Speaks Weekly Newspaper, 1901. This invocation or opening prayer is found on the Talking Board website.
I am grateful for the flow of energy.
I now close this sacred space and surround myself
With the highest love and healing light
I will know how to do what is good and right.

There is a land where we all go,These are just some examples of methods used by some people.
Whence ne'er the frost nor cold wind blow,
And friends remembered reunite,
And those who hate, forget their spite,
In a glow surround these gengle beings,
Heaven's promise, our spirits thrive,
So now for the living, let the dead come alive.
Greetings, spirits,
Speak thee to us?

Q: What color candles can you use with an ouija board? Is black okay?
A: I have never bothered with the use of candles for illumination. I’ve only illuminated my board with afternoon daylight and regular electric lights. (Eventually, I might try one of the glow in the dark boards.) However, if I wanted to light a candle while using the board I imagine practically any color candle would do. Just burn the candle within your eyesight. Likewise, make sure the lit candle is set in a suitable holder on a sturdy, flat surface, away from the moving planchette and people's arms and elbows.
I wouldn't suggest only using candlelight to illuminate the board. It can be hard to see, but certainly you could have one or more candles burning safely for ambiance--or for other spiritual purposes.
Follow common sense fire safety rules. The surface for holding a lit candle should be heat resistant. Keep any lit candle away from drafts or from anything that might catch fire. Keep the burning candle away from children.
Still, if you want my personal opinion on color, I suppose either white colored and/or purple colored candles might be useful.
