to the fire circle area.
This photo provides an overview of the area. At night, this area will fill with people: firekeepers, drummers, dancers. All attendees are welcome to participate. Seated on the front benches to the left, drummers supply the heartbeat. Firekeepers will safely maintain the bonfire in the center. Attendees may drum, dance, or sit and enjoy the energy.
Due to safety concerns, attempting to leap the bonfire is prohibited. Dancers and drummers are expected to show respect to the firekeepers.
In 2016, I (Myth Woodling), out of respect to privacy of the participants, chose not to wander down to the fire circle with photo releases to request permission to take photos. It is FSG policy that no one takes photos without the subject's permission.
In the morning, all that remains is the burnt out remnants of a charred wood fire...
