Harvest Moon Cookies

Make these cookies to celebrate the harvest moon.

Ingredients

Cream butter with big spoon. Sift sugar and gradually mix with the butter. Blend in vanilla and almonds, and slowly knead in flour. Put dough in refrigerator for about two hours.

Once the dough has cooled, it is time for the fun part. Sprinkle some flour on your rolling pin and on the kitchen counter. Roll out your dough to a thickness of one centimeter. Use a round cookie cutter to cut full moon shaped cookies. Crescent shaped moons can be created by using a knife to cut the full moon into different phases. Bake cookies on a greased cookie sheet in a pre-heated in a 350 F oven for 15 minutes.
