First, place a sealed jar of water outdoors beneath a full moon to soak up moonlight all night. As you set the jar down, recite aloud:
Moon spirits from up above,Once moonlight is captured in water, it can be used in a variety of magical recipes, including Psychic Mint Tea.
Fill this jar with magic and love.
Drink this tea prior to psychic work.
Be certain you keep the jar of full moon water tightly sealed until you use it in a spell or create a brew.
Myth's Notes
This charming folklore spell recipe is described in The Little Big Book of Chills and Thrills, edited by Lena Tabori and Natasha Tabori Fried, 2001, p. 10. I've included it in this website, becuase it used "full moon water," aka lunar water to brew a tea for psychic work. Psychic work tradtionally fell under the moon's sphere of influence. Even more interestingly, mint was sacred to the underworld Goddess Proserpine, who was connected to the moon in the lunar triad: Diana on earth, Luna in the heavens, and Proserpine in the underworld.
It's not mentioned in the book, but I wonder if this folkspell was a tea leaf reading ritual?
