- 200 grams all purpose flour
- 1 pinch baking powder
- 10 grams milk powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 75 grams sugar powder
- 1/2 tea spoon vanilla essence
- 125 grams white butter
Take a bowl add white butter, sugar powder cream it and add all purpose flour, milk powder, baking powder, vanilla essence, crumble this and mix it well like a dough, Take rolling pin roll them like a thin sheet and cut them into chand (crescent) shape using a round cuter and transfer into baking tray and bake them into 180 c for 15 minutes.You tube: Recipe : Moon Biscuits Recipe With English Subtitles

Osmania Biscuits are popular in Hyderabad, India, as a biscuit to go with tea. Basically they are tea cookies.
here is how it is made .. you take one cup maida, one table spoon butter or vegetable oil like dalda, a pinch of salt, a pinch of baking powder and mix into a thick dough with water.. cut out circular biscuits about 2 inch in diameter and about 1/4 inch thick and bake them in an oven ( i've done it in my improvised oven ) for about 10 mts till the biscuits turn golden in color .. cool the biscuits and get your tea ready and EAT !
Tip: you can add a teaspoon of sugar to get a mild sweet taste, and / or cardamom powder to the batter for a variety.
